Personally, I think it’s all about trying NEW places that perhaps we have not tried yet. And in some cases, I will be returning to my favorite haunts—just because. The good news is that the participating restaurants are all over Orange County, so that gives us so many choices! https://ocrestaurantweek.com/
FIVE STEPS TO ENJOYING RESTAURANT WEEK:
1) Get your calendar out!
2) Make a list of the restaurants YOU want to visit and check out their menus on-line. Perhaps think about a place or two that you have not tried yet.
3) Make a list of all the people you want to see in early March. This might include friends, loved ones, girlfriends, your wine club, those celebrating birthdays, or some that you said you would see “right after the holidays”. Come on now… keep your promise….
4) Contact them all and secure dates that work.
5) Start booking your reservations!!! Here is the web site with all the menus and details so you can start your planning: https://ocrestaurantweek.com/
HOW IT WORKS:
These menus showcase some of Orange County’s most talented chefs who have personalized each menu to reflect their culinary style and showcase their beloved restaurants.
–Brunch and Breakfast– there are 13 restaurants participating in this day-part and some are offering “brunch for two”.
–Lunch Menus– The prix fixe menus are priced at $15, $20 and $25 per person for lunch.
–Dinner Menus– These range from $25- $50.
–Luxe Menus– There are also 18 restaurants offering over the top menus, and some include a cocktail, glass of wine, or bottle of wine. The menus range from $60-$120.
–Cocktail Menus for Restaurant Week– In addition to the Chefs, the Bartenders have got their best game on order here too. There are 50 restaurants county-wide that have prepared a special menu and some are offering numerous creations. Who doesn’t love a Cilantro Margarita, or a Victor Old Fashion? How about a Lemon Drop, Espresso Martini (pinkies up), Whiskey Peach or Mint Julep.
-Locations- You can search by city and I have listed them alphabetically here for easy review: Anaheim/Yorba Linda, Brea, Corona Del Mar, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, Foothill Ranch, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest, Long Beach, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Silverado and Tustin.
