About Lobsterfest and the Organization– Clawing Our Way to the Top! This celebration of summer is designed for fun, entertainment and most importantly to raise funds for deserving charitable organizations. It all started in 2009 as a fund-raiser for the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach Sunrise Rotary Clubs. Now in its ninth year, the Lobsterfest has created its own foundation and 501 (c) 3 status with beneficiaries that include Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire, and Leadership Tomorrow – Orange County. “As the Lobsterfest at Newport Beach grows, the Board hopes to add additional worthy charities to its support list,” notes Tim Brown the Lobsterfest Foundation President.
